Following denial of the Valley Oak Charter School petition by the Davis Joint Unified School District's Board of Education, the organizers of VOCS have withdrawn their appeal of the charter to the Yolo County Board of Education and is in the process of considering the various options before them.
Meanwhile, for interested parties who have expressed interest in the work done by the organizers to create a neighborhood technology magnet charter school, please feel free to review our development process, including the final revised draft of the charter for Valley Oak Charter School which earned DJUSD Superintendent James Hammond's recommendation to the board for adoption.
